| 31. Chris Dickerson - CF - Louisville | |
| Dickerson is a superb athlete with some above average power
but a big time swing that fails to make contact a whole lot of the time.
He may play the best outfield defense in the system (right there with Drew
Stubbs) and he is also very fast. He has good on base skills, as shown
by his .090 Iso Discipline number. Chris could realistically be a solid
backup outfielder one day, and if he could learn to cut down on the
strikeouts, could make a push for a starter with all that he brings to the
table.

| 32. Ramon Ramirez - RHP - Louisville | |
| Ramirez began the year in Sarasota as a starter where he had some success with 86 strikeouts in 73.1 innings before getting promoted to AA. Once in AA he made 16 relief appearances with a nearly 3-1 strikeout to walk ratio and more strikeouts than innings pitched. He made another 5 appearances in AAA, allowing just 7 hits in 14.2 innings and striking out 16 batters. He flashed a low to mid 90s fastball that has hit 96 MPH during the season. I would look for him out of the bullpen in the future. |

| 33. Derrik Lutz - RHP - Sarasota | |
| Lutz began the season in Chattanooga, although it was just
due to a shortage of pitchers. After 7 appearances the reliever was sent
down to Sarasota where he went on to save 23 games. He allowed 67 hits and
struck out 54 in 68 innings overall this season and allowed just 2 HR. He
is a ground ball pitcher, getting 60% of the balls in play against him on
the ground. Has a low 90’s fastball and throws both a slider and a
change up.

| 34. Ramon Geronimo - RHP - Dayton | |
| Geronimo spent his first season in the US after pitching for the DSL Reds the past few seasons as a starter. This season he made 49 appearances for the Dragons out of the bullpen, allowing just 56 hits, 14 walks and 2 HR in 66 innings while striking out 49 and posting a 2.45 ERA. Interestingly, left handed batters hit just .194 off of him, while right handers hit .255 against him and he posted a much strong strikeout rate against lefties. |

| 35. Brett Bartles - 3B/OF - Billings | |
| Bartles was a 30th round pick this season out of Duke, but he showed good skills as he hit .322/.379/.514 as mostly a 20 year old (turned 21 the last week of August) over both rookie levels with 6 doubles, 7 triples and 5 HR in 183 at bats. He showed decent line drive skills and showed the ability to hit the ball to all parts of the field. |

| 36. Michael Griffin - IF/OF - Chattanooga | |
| A lot of Griffin’s offense comes directly from his batting
average, as he doesn’t hit for much power and he doesn’t walk a whole
lot either. He does however hit for a very solid average, which as you can
see was well over .300 when split between two levels. As he moved out of
the FSL (pitchers paradise) he saw his average and power numbers both go
up significantly. He projects as a solid utility player, as he can move
around in the infield and the outfield.

| 37. Rafael Gonzalez - RHP - Dayton | |
| Gonzalez finally had a good season in Dayton after several tries. He won 13 games and had a solid ERA, but his walk/strikeout rate is very poor and he allowed quite a fair share of home runs. He has some of the better stuff in the system, but he is still very raw with it. |

| 38. Paul Janish - SS - Louisville | |
| Paul Janish came into the season highly rated after a solid
season in Dayton and Sarasota where he hit over .300 with 14 HR and solid
defense. The jump to AA and AAA seemed to be a bit much for him however,
as he struggled at the plate the entire season. He has the glove to play
3B, SS and 2B in the majors, but his bat needs a lot of work.

| 39. Josh Ravin - RHP - Billings | |
| Ravin had a very good debut last season as a 5th round pick posting a sub 4 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 36.1 innings. This year though, he seemingly went from rough control to almost no control at all. He has a fastball that was clocked at 98 this summer, and coming out of high school he was said to have control of three pitches. Maybe the lack of his progress is something that led to the firing of most of the staff in Billings. I would expect him back in Billings next year, hopefully with improved command. |

| 40. Keltavious Jones - OF - Dayton | |
| Jones hit very well in Billings in his first stint there, and improved dramatically over his 2006 season in the GCL. He showed mediocre plate discipline, but didn’t strike out much and hit the ball solid (21% LD rate in Billings). Once he got the promotion to Dayton though, he kind of fell apart, albeit in just a short period of time. Expect him back in Dayton next season. |
