Here is a breakdown of Day 2

By Position: RHP (10), Catchers (5), Shortstops (3), First Basemen (3), LHP (2), Center Fielders (2), Right Fielder (1) and Second Baseman (1).

The Reds took a few guys who fell down the draft boards that will require over slot money to sign. Deven Marrero, Stephen Perez and Tucker Barnhart lead that group. If the Reds could get two of those guys signed, it would really boost the rating of this draft for them.

Today had a good mix of players taken between guys with polish, guys with tools but need to make some adjustments and high quality players who will require over slot money to sign. Tomorrow will bring another 20 picks to round up the draft. There can be some real good players taken that late though, so don’t sleep on them. JC Sulbaran, Danny Dorn and Danny Herrera were all picked in that range.

Be sure to check out the posts below for more information on all of the draft picks from today and yesterday.
