Be sure to go to Reds.com and vote for Joey Votto and right a wrong. You can vote as much as you want, so stuff the hypothetical ballot box.

Billy Hamilton’s bat has been heating up a little bit, but you really need to watch this video to see just how good his glove can be. Lets hope he can keep hitting, his defense can be an absolute game changer.

The Reds have signed 13th rounder Lucas O’Rear. It seems that Kyle Waldrop is going to sign, though the deal hasn’t been agreed to yet.

Frankie Piliere has released his midseason Top 25 prospects list. The Reds predictably only landed Aroldis Chapman on the list at #3. Here is what Piliere had to say about Chapman:

The Skinny: It’s been an up and down year for Chapman, and his command has proven to be a legitimate issue. Even with that in mind, you just don’t find left-handed pitchers with this type of stuff, and he belongs up here for that reason alone.

Miguel Rojas could miss the rest of the season if he gets back news from Dr. Kremcheck.

I honestly can’t tell you how good of a prospect this guy is, or what kind of tools he has, but Ronald Torreyes is currently making a mockery of the Venezuelan Summer League as a 17 year old. He is hitting .392/.459/.635 with 17 doubles, 5 triples and 3 HR’s in 170 plate appearances where he has 2 more walks than strikeouts.

Down in the Arizona League, Dominic D’Anna is just obliterating the league’s pitching. The 21 year old has 50 plate appearances so far and has hit .500/.620/.737 with twice as many walks as strikeouts.
