• Beau Amaral went 1-4 with a walk and 2 runs.
• Zach Vincej went 2-3 with 2 walks, a steal, a double and 2 runs.
• Jeff Gelalich went 2-5 with a double, HR and 4 RBI.
• Marquez Smith went 1-2 with an RBI and 3 walks.
• Juan Perez went 1-4 with a double, walk and a run.
• Sebastian Elizalde went 2-5 with an RBI.
• Wandy Peralta allowed 2 runs in 6 innings with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.
• Jimmy Moran threw 2 shutout innings with a strikeout.

Game Notes

Bakersfield needed a win to stay alive in the playoffs and a win is what they got. The Blaze grabbed a 1-0 lead on a Marquez Smith single that brought in Beau Amaral. They would add to their lead with an RBI double by Sean Buckley double that plated Zach Vincej to make it 2-0. Visalia grabbed a run back in the bottom of the fifth on a solo homer. The sixth inning was the game changer though as a Sammy Diaz double and two walks loaded the bases for Jeff Gelalich before he came through with a bases clearing double to put Bakersfield up 5-1. The Rawhide would get a run in the seventh to make it 5-2, but Bakersfield would play add on in the eighth with a Jeff Gelalich solo homer and add a final run in the ninth on a Sebastian Elizalde RBI single to bring in Juan Perez. The pitching was strong for the Blaze as Wandy Peralta pitched into the seventh inning before giving way to Jimmy Moran and El’Hajj Muhammad to seal the victory with three innings of relief. Tuesday night is another do-or-die game for the Blaze and they will send Layne Somsen to the mound for the start.
