The Bats entered Saturday looking for their first win of the season and got things started early. A rally led to three runs in the second inning that was capped off by a bases loaded 2-run double by Eugenio Suarez. Yorman Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the third to make it 4-0. That was more than enough for Michael Lorenzen who Toledo off balance over seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits and two walks to go with three strikeouts in his first Triple-A start. Pedro Villarreal entered the game and threw up zeroes in the final two innings to seal the win. Homer Bailey will make the start for Louisville on Sunday.

Game Notes
After Biloxi grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning the Blue Wahoos tied things up in the bottom half on a Seth Mejias-Brean single that brought in Juan Silva. The Shuckers took the lead right back, scoring two unearned runs in the 2nd inning. They would play add on in the 7th and 8th, taking a 6-1 lead and putting the game out of reach. The defense and offense struggled in the game. Pensacola committed three errors and had just five hits in the game.
Daytona was suspended.
Game Notes
Rain came in and suspended the game in the third with a 0-0 score. Amir Garrett had five strikeouts with no walks through 2.2 innings before the game was halted. It will be completed on May 1st.
Dayton won 4-0, lost 13-3 in a double header.

Game Notes
Game one went well for the Dragons as they picked up their first win of the season with a 4-0 shutout. Wyatt Strahan put together a good start with 5.2 shutout innings and the offense got on the board early to put things out of reach with good pitching on the way. Brian O’Grady tripled in a run and Gavin LaValley doubled him in to make it 2-0. Jimmy Pickens and Ty Washington both doubled in the second inning and a sac fly brought in Washington to make it 4-0. The score held and put the first game away.
The second game was not nearly as strong of a showing as West Michigan scored 13 runs in the 7-inning game, including an 8-runĀ 5th inning that sealed the game. Narciso Crook, Wendell Soto and Ronald Bueno all reached base twice in the game.
