Game Notes

Mobile took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, but it would be the only run that Daniel Wright would allow over six strong innings. He left with a 3-1 lead thanks to RBI doubles by Ryan Wright, Jesse Winker and Lou Marson. They would add to their lead when Kyle Waldrop hit a solo home run in the 8th, making it 4-1. The bullpen ran into problems as they gave up three runs in the bottom of the 9th, sending the game into extra innings. They would give up the winning run in the bottom of the 10th as the Blue Wahoos dropped to 22-31 on the season.

Game Notes

Sal Romano had a rough 2nd inning, allowing five runs before getting the third out. He’d make it through five innings with just those runs allowed. Daytona’s offense would get his back as they would rally back in the 5th and 6th innings, scoring twice in each inning to tie the game up with Sebastian Elizalde driving in all four of the runs. The Tortugas would take the lead on a Carlton Daal sac fly in the top of the 9th, but the bullpen would give up the lead and Lakeland would walk-off with the win.
