Is it common to see teams hold back their players from the AAA all star game or should we be anticipating a move?

Doug, had an idea about audience participation last night. What if you let the people who receive the Emails of the post vote to for the player of the night to have his photo acompany the actual site post. You could put a time deadline on it or over rule it if you didn’t like the choice or didn’t have a picture of the chosen player.

That would be pretty cool, as long as it doesn’t make a lot of extra work for Doug.

Nice to see Packy bounce back and have a really good start after his last clunker. Nearly half of his AA allowed ER came in that last start (7 of 16).

If nothing else is going right in Billings, Leonardi Seminati is coming hot out of the gate.

Wonder if/when Tanner Cooper will get to show off his apparent raking abilities? 4 G and still 0 PA.

I just looked it up and found out Victor Ruiz is just 19. It seems like he’s been around for a while.

I’ve had a lot of fun following Packy Naughton this season. He’s my vote for biggest riser in the system from a pitching perspective.

Siri with two blasts, it’d be nice to see his power show up again after being largely absent this season.

Romano back starting, off to a good start. This year is his last option remaining if I remember correctly. It’ll be interesting to see what decisions are made with a lot of AAA pitchers not performing well when roster spots are needed in the winter.

Willems has proven he can hit in rookie ball, can he translate that to full season ball? Needs to work on plate discipline for that to happen.

Romano had terrible 1st innings last year and that makes a poor relief pitcher imo. He should have been starting all year and be reds 7/8 starter if they ever needed one. No way he’s in there long term plans. Just to much talent to be had out there

Another nice outing by Richardson. Rylan Thomas also got a couple of at bats with AZL Reds…What ever has happened to Hanson ??

Nice to see that they are stretching Romano out. He pitched 3 scoreless innings in relief his last time out and 4 perfect innings in a starting role last night. Starters are more valuable than relievers. Now if they would do that with Reed when he comes off IL.

Amir Garrett is more valuable than Roark, disco, grey, or mahle or even a healthy wood and he’s not even a closer.

      • Norwood Nate

According to bWAR Roark has accumulated 2.1 WAR to Garrett’s 1.8 WAR. Gray 1.5, Mahle 1.2, and Disco 1.1 respectively. So kinda close to the others. Meanwhile Iglesias “the closer” has 0.3 WAR.
