Has anyone elsa noticed that Siani has really been hot lately. Got his BA up to just under 250 with a OBP of 330.

May I pretty please have my mailbag questions now since I’m never able to get to it when it’s time?!

    1. Should Joel Kuhnel be having his shot in the Reds bullpen already? With the new ball, his numbers are phenomenal.

    2. Should the Reds have signed Lavarnway to a MAJOR LEAGUE contract, or is that not really a big deal as its probably for the minimum? Should Tromp have been brought up instead or is it too early coming back off an injury?

    3. What is in the world has happened with Sal Romano lately? Is he just that more focused getting another shot in the rotation and doesn’t want to go back to the pen?

    4. Bonus: Siani — any reports on if he’s going to be a fast riser?

I was wondering the same with Sal Romano. Last 4 games he has started and put up 17.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 HR, 3 BB, 24 K. Incredible. The K to BB ratio is phenomenal.
Has he been able to improve his command and control on a third and possibly fourth pitch? Has he developed that out pitch?

Not Doug, but as far as Siani he already is a fast riser. Until last Tuesday he was only 19 which is young for Dayton. I was kind of surprised that he did not go to Billings when they started but he has really exploded the second half of the season.

Lavarnway was an emergency signing that won’t require a 40 man spot in the off season. If Tromp was added then that would tie up a spot or require him to be cut after the year to get the 40 man spot open

I was out of the country last week and must have missed something, but what happened to Friedl? On his instagram he’s wearing the dreaded hospital gown and foot is in a cast/boot.

Do we know why Ryan Olson was placed on the restricted list?

Glad to see Cameron Warren in Dayton but sorry he replaces injured Bren Spillane who struggled at the plate so much in the first half and has gotten it together the last month and a half. Bad timing for Bren.

A statistical anomaly if you check Graham Ashcraft on Baseball Reference his ERA today in Greeneville is 5.63 which is exactly the same as each of his last two seasons at Mississippi State and Alabama Birmingham.
