Tonight kicked off the start of four new series on the farm system for the Cincinnati Reds. Hunter Greene and Michael Byrne dominated in Chattanooga’s win, Ashton Goudeau and the Bats bullpen shutout the hottest hitting team in Triple-A coming into the series, Brian Rey homered once again, and Carson Spiers fanned nine for Daytona.

Struggling so far at Daytona .
Hopefully gets on a hot streak.

Still intrigued by how they’re using Byrne in Chattanooga. Spot start last week and now a really good long man appearance to close the game behind Greene.

Been a fan of Alejo Lopez throughout his time in the minors. The kids seems to know how to hit. Glad to see it’s shown up in AA as well.

Have to imagine all the work he got in the Mexican Winter League really helped prepare him for the upper levels of the minor leagues.

Some intrigue here with Carson Spiers, who I believe was a Clemson kid and a NDFA given last year’s shortened draft.

Allan Cerda with some really good plate discipline there. Tells me he isn’t just up there taking hacks and getting on a lucky hit streak.

Who is this guy, and what did he do with Mark Kolozsvary?

Have you seen Space Jam? I think it’s like that, but the opposite.

Nick Lodolo walked someone?? In fact 4 walks!

I’m shocked, and saddened by this news.

But, if the worst start of his professional career is going to be 3.1IP, 1ER, 4BB, 3K… then he’s set a pretty high bar.

Hopefully, he rebounds from this, and was just having a really off night.
