The Dayton Dragons were postponed

After a rain delay on Friday night led to the suspension of game 2 of their doubleheader, the finish of that game as well as the regularly scheduled game on Saturday were wiped out by rain. They’ll try it again on Sunday at 2:05pm with the resumption of the suspended game, which will be a 7-inning game that’s picked up in the 6th, and be followed by a full 9-inning game.

The Daytona Tortugas lost 5-2. Box Score

At the end of Chattanooga game it looked like Nick Howard might be hurting again. He was not particularly sharp and he was rotating his arm at the shoulder after each pitch. I know before my rotator surgery I had the feeling that I could rotate it and pop something to eliminate the pain. It’s what Nick reminded me of tonight. I hope not.

I honestly hadn’t noticed it until you pointed it out. So I decided to go watch it and you are right. But I also picked out two other games to go watch – the first one he pitched in this year on May 5th, and then I randomly picked May 25th. He was doing the same thing. I think it’s just something he does.

He did throw one 96, so hopefully it is just a habit.

Lopez 0-4 – time to send him down? Seriously, though, if there is no physical issue, is Howard close to moving up to the Bats?

I’d imagine as long as he continues to perform he won’t be in Chattanooga for all that much longer.

They’ll probably have to make a corresponding move when Sceroler is placed on the active roster. I’m not 100% sure how MiLB roster sizes and moves go, but to me it would makes sense to move Moreta or Howard when another reliever comes in.
