Jose B keeps hitting like that he’ll be up very soon.
After starting 5 for 31 at Louisville, he has gone 8 for 18.
Very small sample size, but certainly indicates an improvement, it can’t hurt to bring up a better defender who probably won’t be more of a liability than either us the incumbents.
With Farmers hitting 0.224 and Suarez hitting 0.177
And 9 walks already in Louisville, and 25 on the year in 54 games. That matches his career high, which took him 104 games in 2019.
Yep. We’re all in waiting. As we saw again last night defense does matter. Not that Farmer had anything to do with it. He’s done a pretty decent job at SS. However it’s been so long since we’ve seen a really GOOD defensive SS I think we’ve kind of forgotten what one really looks like. This team could use it.
TJ Hopkins and Lorenzo Cedrola continue to impress in the Chattanooga outfield.
Castillo, Greene, and Lodolo all going for the Reds system tonight. Should be a good show!
Moreta not missing a beat moving up to L-ville. What a difference a few games make for Barrero.
Half hoping he’s not a streak hitter though. Rather see professional at bats each time out. But this is why a turn back in the minors was required and use of the word development.
Is it time for Schrock and López to trade places?
I feel better about Schrock sitting on the MLB bench than López—man what a way to crush a kid’s momentum.
And Bell seems more likely to let Schrock play than Alejo
Lopez is destined to be a utility player, moving him down won’t change that. I would like to see him play more, but he’s not going to be an everyday player without an injury to India or Senzel.
Bell is going to sink that team he doesn’t even play Lopez the kid was red hot. And bell doesn’t know how to use the bull pen . They loose alot of games because of that.
Did Branche get all his K’s on the curveball?
If Barrero keeps this up I think we see him in the big league getting some starts at SS by August some time. Thoughts Doug?
It all depends on Moustakas doesn’t it? If he ever gets healthy and returns then shortstop, love it or absolutely hate it, has to go to Suarez. They just aren’t going to bench him.
Get Senzel back as a fifth guy on the dirt. Or wherever they get played these days.
Count me as one who would absolutely hate it. :)
That must be SOME sickness that Hendrick has.
The Reds should be looking to trade Mahle. What a spaz
If Moustakas is healthy, what could Reds get for him on trade market?
No place for him to play in 2022 and beyond with Barrero coming for SS, India cemented at 2B and Suarez at 3B.
A chance to add a bit through bullpen and prospects/salary relief by moving Moustakas.
Nothing.
