The system went 0-4 on the night, had a 5th game suspended by lightning in the 9th inning, and a 6th game cancelled. Robbie Tenerowicz put together another big night for Chattanooga, Quin Cotton had four hits and a steal for Dayton while Eduardo Salazar struck out 10, and Elly De La Cruz showed off some more impressive tools for Daytona.

Somehow I missed what Ashcraft has done since he gave up those 8 runs in that 1 inning. How did he do in his next start(s)? I cannot find the game.

How poetic would it be if Brandon Finnegan and Tim Adleman make their ways back to Cincinnati? They were there in 2016 for the worst of times, and they could be back for a potential playoff push. (I don’t think they’re the answer to the bullpen, but still, a nice story could be had)

On Finnegan though, 10 straight scoreless outings, and, per BBREF, 80% ground balls.

      Playoff push? Really?

The Reds will do nothing or next to nothing in the next week before the deadline. They will barely sneak in and lose in the first round or barely not make it and draft about 15th or 20th next year.

More luke warm. No chance to win the Series. Give me red hot or ice cold. You can keep your luke warm. It is useless.

Someone said “Good” is the enemy of “Great”. I agree.

Yep, playoff push! I remain optimistic about this Reds team. I think they’re a good team with some obvious flaws, but, until the math says they cannot make the post season.

Good luck. I wouldn’t order that World Series shirt as long as the current philosophy continues

I think as long as the team is focused on playing championship caliber baseball they can easily make a play for the title. Easy being a relative term in regards to playoff baseball. If you’re close or just good enough, that is good enough to make a go of it.

James Marinan was considered a quality prospect when acquired from the Dodgers but has done nothing to approach that status since being acquiredAfter a full season in Low A in 2019 he is back and not doing any better there 2 years later.

A Dead Horse is a Dead Horse an REDS Management is What? All I hear about is Nick Senzel from front office an he hasn’t showed anything to build on but injuries!
