Matt McLain made his pro debut and made a splash out in Arizona, Louisville failed to strike a single batter out, Robbie Tenerowicz continued his tear through the Double-A South while teammate Drew Mount extended his on-base streak, Allan Cerda homered twice as his assault on opposing pitching continued, and Elly De La Cruz picked up a triple and a home run of his own for Daytona in a win.

Is it just me or are there a lot more good young prospects to be excited about than past years. Ive not seen Jacob Heatherlys name on here for a while. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Ok, I’m convinced- I say we move Matt McLain to Chattanooga and see what we’ve got!

McClain showed up with a yippe ki yay in the ACL.
    Allan Cerda ripping bombs FERDA.
Nice to see a Heatherly sighting.

    Another good game for Balcazar.

Elly De La Cruz had a big night. If he had enough AB to qualify he would be top 15 in OPS in the SE league. Elly has a 12.5% K% in August. Am hoping his great August is because he is making adjustment to the better pitching.

Based upon K’s Bonnin did not have his best stuff but he was good in spite of that by inducing a lot of GB.

McLain got off to a good start to his professional career.
