Rain came into play on the farm for the second consecutive day, postponing games for both Louisville and Dayton. Chattanooga got a game-tying homer in the 9th inning from Leonardo Rivas, but lost in the bottom of the 9th. Daytona had some 9th inning drama of their own, scoring two runs, but ultimately stranding the tying and winning runs on the bases to lose by one.

Carson Speirs seems like he has ML talent. How best not to screw this up
Doug, I want in on any ‘how not to screw this up’ columns in the future.
If Doug knew the answer to this he wouldn’t be running this site he would be in a uniform somewhere.
It seems with the offseason trades, the Reds are clearly building for the future.
And they now have a good collection of good prospects in A thru AA with McClain, Siani, Williamson, DeLaCruz, Torres, Hinds, Phillips, Boyle, Allen, Petty & Hendrick.
Combined with the good young talent like Greene, Lodolo, Barrero, Stephenson, and India, it seems like they could be in a good spot in a year or two.
But until some of those minor league guys were ready, they needed to bridge the gap with bad retreads. And so we all knew they would not be a winning team in the near future.
But this year, their bad roster seems to be injured and underperforming, turning what was supposed to be bad, into horrible.
is there any update on barrero
I have him in a fantasy league and rotowire says “he suffered a setback in his recovery and is back to where he was in late April. Able to field and throw but not able to hit again.
Daytona – 15 strikeouts and 18 men LOB in one game and still scored 6!
Team left on base was just 6. Lots of double/triple counting when looking at individual LOB.
Elly dela Cruz suspended for Dragons two games today. Reece Hinds 4 games starting tomorrow.
why?
Involved in a bench-clearing brawl on Wednesday (or was it Thursday?)
Wednesday
Everything just blends together these days.
