Mayb nothing at all. But impressed with Santana.
Usually hit for good average. Never walked though.
Doing better with that so far.
25 so not very old.
Idk mayb a find hope so.
incredible catch by Cerda. And impressive to have the awareness to get up quickly and look to double up a base runner. If his offense comes around (pretty please) he would make a nice addition to the Reds outfield.
Good pitching performances all around – Minor is ready to replace Vlad. Williamson is consistently solid and Phillips is showing to have been a good trade pickup.
Too many strikeouts by the Dragons hitters last night. The whole team needs to improve in making contact – with one exception being Rece Hinds. He seems to be enjoying his promotion from the Florida State League to the Midwest League. Man I hope he continues to develop – we need some power hitting outfielders to come along and contribute soon. Only so long I can put up with a homeless outfield of Tommy Pham, Nick Senzel, and Tyler Naquin.
Doug – question that probably won’t matter in the long run for Graham Ashcraft, unless he’s borderline super 2 in a couple years.
Does Ashcraft get service time for the 3 days he was with the Reds in Toronto?
Also, I believe the rule is that if an optioned player is recalled within 20 days, he gets credit for the service time he would have gotten if not for being optioned. Ashcraft was down for 4 days. BUT, as a substitute COVID IL player, he wasn’t technically “optioned” but “returned”.
So I guess my question boils down to, after yesterday, does Ashcraft have 1, 4, or 8 days of service time?
He does get the service time for the time in Toronto. I honestly don’t know about the “back down but back up in less than 20 days” thing, though.
It’s just about time that I can make posting about Gilliam and Tenerowicz a pre written scheduled post. They’re having a great time for the Lookouts.
Glad to see Williamson with a nice outing.
The first 3 walks of Phillips (according to gameday) were very hitter friendly strikezones. He had a nice outing.
Minor League gameday is useless. It is just a guy clicking on a computer screen. It is not at all like MLB where the pitch is actually being tracked by a computerized camera (or in the past, radar) system.
Oh. Gotcha. Good to know!
I am so impressed with our young pitching.
Greene, Lodolo and Ashcraft made it to the show.
Williamson, and Phillips looking are good. If they continue to perform like this, they could be promoted to AAA, and AA respectively by mid season.
Abbott was way too overpowered for A+, glad to see him face better competition in AA.
Boyle needs a promotion, not sure if he’s going to remain a starter, but clearly he needs to face better hitters.
Agree been having same thought.
Keep running out young arms.
Hopefully keep it up.
Huge thing to have keep them in games.
Plus if they can do it at home in the Show.
Seldom is a player the Player of the Game without a large offensive game but though he got a hit not only did Cerda have a great catch but two outfield assists (one at third and one at home) and should have been three with the missed call in the video. I kind of wondered early on why he was placed on 40-man over winter but I have become a believer.
Incredible catch by Cerda!
Schrock starting rehab with Bats tonight.
That’s awesome! I feel like Schrock is our LH Drury. They would be a nice 1, 2 combo off the bench, or splitting time at DH when we are more fully complete.
