Cerda and EDLC on fire in Daytona. And they played against a twins pitcher having a very good year. Can’t wait to see them in Chattanooga – maybe this year?
Phillips and petty continue to impress. Wish a couple more of our draft picks would take a step forward like Farr and Roa. Spiers was improving seemingly every game until last night.
Starting to worry about McClain and Siani. They have a habit of going 1 for 4 instead of 2 for 4 the last month. That Chattanooga team should be better.
Hopefully, Cincinnati by 2024. The Reds need the help.
You need to buy and remove a vowel. Dayton not Daytona. Cerda kind of an enigma at the plate to me. His average definitely not where you would like it to be but when he gets a hit there I’d thunder in his bat.
Clay Snowdan and Aram Leighton of Just Baseball had a great Q & A on YouTube last night about the Reds prospects. They talked about all the top prospects and showed video. Also talked about what the Reds could get back in a Castillo or Mahle trade.
Nice to see Hopkins picking it back up in June after a down May.
I wonder why Fairchild keeps getting the DFA. He’s hitting well in the minors (OB/SL). He can play centerfield.
Reds have really got guys standing in line in the middle infield to the point where it would be difficult to make mid season promotions. I know mid season for the Dragons is mid next week so I assume that is pretty much the case for all the full season teams.
With Shrock and Solano ready to be activated I assume Aquino and Moran will be the ones to go. Reynolds’s might be a possibility but he has been playing well.
I feel there. Are some 60 day DL things that can be done to avoid losing Moran and Aquino. I know it’s not a big loss but why lose them if you have 3 guys that have been or going to be out 6 weeks and their rehab assignment will stretch that another 2 weeks making it a 60 day outage. Sims and guitierrez aren’t coming back soon and aquinos is a 6 week injury.
Cabrera made his 10th error today in only the DSL Reds 11th game. His fielding wasn’t supposed to be a weakness was it?
He’s the same age as a high school junior. I’m not worried much about that stuff yet. Or much of anything beyond the scouting reports.
Aristides Aquino didn’t hit .200 in two different years in the DSL and made it to the big leagues. Guys are so young down there and still learning so much. Obviously you want to see them perform better than 10 errors in 10 games, but yeah – he’s a high school junior aged kid.
