Johnny Ascanio had another multi-hit game in the ACL Reds win behind quality pitching, and down in the Dominican Summer League we saw Carlos Sanchez get on base three times and steal a base as he extended his on-base streak to start his career to 33 games as the DSL Reds picked up a win.

Both Ariel Almonte and Malvin Valdez left the game early. Not sure why yet, but if they miss a few days I’ll check in and see.

Doug- any word on when collier will start? I assume he will be in azl?? And do u see collier being in top 100 prospects immediately??

No. Almost assuredly yes. And not consensus top 100, but I’d venture to guess he could make some (for example, Keith Law had him as the #2 guy int he draft, so it’s hard to imagine Law keeps him out of the top 100 when he updates his list next).

I have lost track of Ben Lively. I assume he is hurt.

Sanchez reached in both games for the DSL team today. 3 walks in the first game and a hit and walk already in the second game. Amazing start to his career

The recent signee, Jean Correa, who made his club debut the other day, is list as:Ht.: 6’1″, 145 lbs. That’s beyond Tom “The Blade” Hall territory.

Brayan Rijo, a higher profile signee of the Cabrera year, is coming on. Interesting in that he may also be able to stick in CF.
