I hope this recent hot streak means Hendrick is starting to figure it out. We need front line outfielders, and if he figures it out, he could be ( very big could be, lots of adjustments to make) Jay Bruce. I do not know what kind of of team guy he is, I know Jay was a great team guy. Abbot pitching well at the new level is good too. We need ground balls at gabp.

He had a walk and no strikeout on Sunday. That is good.

I was going to include Hendrick in my comment below, but you covered it. Be nice if this isn’t a hot streak, but a hot last month and half that rolls right into 2023.

It would be great if he turned his trajectory around, but I think the Reds will have a few options (converted shortstops) to fill the outfield.

I saw the Dragons three times last week and Hendrick was a player that stood out to me who had a good week. He looked more comfortable and relaxedin the batters box, and cut down on his swing when it become necessary. Cutting down the swing is definitely something that was not going on earlier. I know this is something the hitting coach has been stressing to whole team all year and maybe it is finally getting through.

I remember there being some bemoaning (either here or Twitter, I’m unsure) about Elly’s right handed hitting numbers this year. He’s now up to 297/360/446/806.

TJ Hopkins really has nothing else to show at AA. Send him to Louisville.

Only 2 appearances so far, sending off 2 months of Tyler Naquin for Jose Acuna has looked like a good choice.

Hopefully the ACL Reds are back playing, with some new draftee faces. Not that there’s really anywhere in their lineup to put new hitters. Daytona could use some bats, though.

Adding onto you comment about the Naquin trade

Rodriguez hasn’t got to play much with the ACL team not playing but in the 2 games he’s played he’s 3/8 including 2 triples, a walk and 2 stolen bases. That’s after hitting .349 for the Mets rookie league team as well.

      Krall crushes that trade

You know Matt, switch hitters always are better from the left side, and I always assumed it was because they get many more at bats and practice against righties than lefties. However, as I have watched the Lookouts lately, they have faced a lot of lefthanders, so maybe Elly is just getting more practice, improving his numbers.
