Jeezus….can anybody keep Hurtubise off bases. Of his 7 HR’s were they all normal HR’s and not inside the parks? Anyone know?
Think at least one was inside the park with Lookouts.
Amazingly I remember an interview in Dayton where he said he had never hit a home run at any level, including little league before. That remained the case going into 2023.
Correction: He homered on the final day of 2022.
But yeah – one of his homers back in April was an inside-the-park home run. The rest have all gone over the fence.
Could we say that Hurtubise going thru the farm system as a kind of player like Alejo López?
I think Rece Hinds is kept at AA because of Chattanooga will play postseason but in 2024 Louisville is going to welcome him…
The farm system has a long catcher list with good defensive skills but the most of them struggle hitting. Miller and Duno and maybe Hunter have shown to be better than the others at the offense… Trautwein was hitting well all season between A+ and AA but he’s been cooling off recently and he’s been playing OF too…
Yeah, Reds need to make some decisions on Catchers. Looking for Nelson to be in AFL.
I just have a feeling Stephenson will be used in a trade to get a starting pitcher this winter, with Maile taking over as #1.
Robinson, Pareda and Yang all well over .300 and beat OPS at aaa. I don’t know what their prospect rating is but they are hitting well this year.
It took Vosler all season but he has emerged. Maybe he was playing dinged up a bit. Hope Vosler, Ramos, Reynolds can land a job in the spring.
Oh look, just Matt making a daily comment about Jacob Hurtubise.
Lol, I have to fight the urge to write about Dunn everyday. We definitely got some young OF’s that are exciting prospects to watch.
Petty and Cardona getting first start at new levels tonight.
Cardinals pick up Siani on waivers.
Nice to see the Cardinals rebuilding.
