Jose Barrero and Jacob Hurtubise both got on base four times for Louisville but they did so in different ways. Chattanooga lost the opening game of the playoffs, but got Blake Dunn and Rece Hinds back into the lineup.

The Lookouts had a few, very key defensive plays made against them that saved multiple runs. It happens.
What a disappointment it will be if the bats finish out the year below .500. I understand that a lot of the wins came when they had guys like Abbott, EDLC, CES, Phillips, McLain, Marte, etc. Hard to replace the production that those guys give you.
Curious to see what kind of deal Luke Maile will get in the offseason and if he’ll give the Reds a hometown discount to be the 2nd string catcher. I like his game but wouldn’t hesitate to give Chuckie Robinson the job if that’s what it comes to. Chuckie has paid his dues and his offensive game has finally blossomed.
Doug, these guys who have finished their seasons, are most now in Arizona at the Reds complex for instructional league? TIA.
Yes and no.
Instructional league over the last few years has been split into two. When the complex league season ends, those guys stay there and have their version of instructional league where they play games 3 days a week and do other baseball-related stuff the other days. That lasts about about 3-4 weeks. It is now over for that group. But now some – but not all – of the guys from A-ball are out in Arizona for their version of instructional league. Same set up – 3 games a week again other complexes and the other days they’ll do other team-related stuff.
Many of the guys in Dayton have told me in the past that they get a week off before they have to be in AZ.
Captain America with 4 more walks. Call the kid up!
Arroyo is looking good in AA! The A+ team is likely to have more high end position prospects than any other team, but that 2024 AA squad is going to be sneaky good I think. Back to back playoffs for Chattanooga?
Flashing the lathe last night.

Doug, or anyone else have any insight on how Hurtubise gets on base so often via BB? Is his swing and miss rate ridiculously low? Does he like foul everything off that is a strike or something? There is like zero video on him on youtube. TIA
And since I’m asking how good is his D?
Arroyo is voted the #1 prospect in the Midwest league.
