Glad to see big night by Trey Faltine. Four hits would be 25% of his 2023 full-season total. Trey hasn’t been on the positive side of the Mendoza line in two years. He plays excellent defense and could be a candidate for break out player of the year.

Took a double take on Faltine’s line, four hits. Also, he had three hits in the game on May 8. Good for him. Plays some SS, 2B, and CF. In the Lville game Young’s inning of work was a beauty, a four pitch inning. He and Moll will be coming for Wilson’s spot very soon.

Santillan with 8th save, Lorant with second. Both hopefully promoted soon.

    Doug,
    What’s Almonte”s potential? He’s very young.

Are you trying to sell your business?

A perfect inning with 4 pitches. Did he even break a sweat? Good to see Martini hitting. Maybe he’s nothing more than a AAAA type hitter but having him get hot would be good for the Reds if they need him again later this season.

Looks like Dunn is starting to get it going after some setbacks early. Would love for him to go on a tear. He has both power and speed and I think could help the club if he’s healthy.

Its not often you see a .194 BA paired with .873 OPS, the power with Almonte is real. Only 18 hits on the year but 10 have left the ballpark, 2 others are doubles. Incredible strikeout rate but when he hits it he really hits it. Only 20 so hopefully he can still learn to make more contact.
