Time to move Aguiar up to Louisville. He has more starts now (18) in Chattanooga than he did at Dayton (16). He just quietly continues being one of the best pitchers in the organization. Guy has 3.18 career ERA and just started pitching a year or two before Reds drafted him.

2nd half of the year could be fun watching Spiers, Williamson, Richardson, Lowder, and Aguiar in Louisville. With power arms Phillips, Roa, and Maxwell in pen. Unless some trades or injuries occur.

I’m almost with you on promoting Aguiar. He pitched 5 innings on 76 pitches while only giving up 1 run. His last inning he looks to have induced 3 ground outs on 10 pitches.

They haven’t let his pitch count get out of the 80’s in any game yet. I’d say let him go a bit deeper for a few games and see how he responds. Assuming he does well then I’d promote him. He averaged 5 IP in 25 starts for 125 IP last year. It would be nice to get him to 150 IP this year, but they’ll have to let him go deeper in games to get there. He’s currently not averaging 5 IP’s per outing. Mostly because of 1 very short outing.

Cam Collier fell into a very long slump apparently. I expect he could bounce back from it and start hitting as he did in the first 25 games played.
I’m surprised of Jared Lyons performance so far he’s been very solid and he’s 23 years old so he still can pan out to be considered a future big leaguer ETA 2026.
Blake Dunn is not being good at triple-A as of now, there is a little bit of inconsistency although he has the talent to perform better in next games and improves his numbers

Maxwell showing that he is human gave up a couple hits and a couple walks in an inning of work. Hope the arm is holding up. He had three days rest prior to yesterdays game.

Have to wonder the plan for the left-handed relievers, all of whom are major league quality. Moll and Young in Louisville. Wilson and Suter in the big leagues.. With the value of left-handed relievers a trade could be quickly in the offing.

Reds do have a small stable of lefty relievers. Not sure about their trade value, maybe Moll if he’s healthy. Young is looking good in his rehab, the back issue is a bummer because those things linger.

Michael, Sorry if he is a relative but I jusy didn’t get picking up Wilson, especially after geting Suter. Wondered at time if they would keep three lefties in pen, let alone four. Thought three provided good depth, especially with Heatherly coming along.

With his ST injury I wonder if Moll is up to the wear and tear of MLB use.

It’s a bit comical that we have our best reliver Moll in the minors because he has options. I’d keep Young in our back pocket so to speak, but Moll needs to be on the Reds roster when his 15 day minimum is up.

DFA/Trade Sims, Wilson. When we do, we’ll get some offers on them, probably just $$$, but maybe more.

Promote Santillan, and Moll to the Reds, and Maxwell to AAA.

      Reds: Diaz, Moll, Cruz, Santillan
      Suter, Martinez, Farmer, Pagan

      AAA: Maxwell, Young, Legumina, Bruihl

That’s 12 legit members of the pen without converting Spiers, Phillips, or Richardson to bullpen members.

Looks like a long with Allen, Mey is finally turning the corner. Would not be bad for Reds to suddenly have to huge fireballing closer prospects in Mey and Maxwell.

Quite a combined line for our minor league starters/piggyback starters yesterday.

    25 ip, 17 h, 5 er, 6 bb, 22 k, 1.80 ERA
