Game Notes

For the second night in a row the Lookouts blew a multi-run lead in the 9th inning to lose. On Friday night they gave up eight runs. Saturday night saw them give up four runs to fall 7-6.

Ivan Johnson’s last six games have been about as hot as he’s ever been. He’s hitting .414/.471/.862 with seven extra-base hits, six runs, 10 runs batted in, four walks, and just four strikeouts.

Francisco Urbaez extended his hitting streak to eight games. His last three games have been multi-hit games, and during his streak he’s hitting .424/.513/.636 with four extra-base hits, five walks, five runs, and five RBI.

Ruben Ibarra’s drive in five runs and gotten on base six times in the last two games.

Chase Petty has started 53 games in his minor league career and before Saturday night had never walked more than three batters in a single game. He more than doubled that with a career worst seven walks, which led to him throwing 82 pitches (43 strikes) in just 3.0 innings.
