I got the idea from ProjectProspect.com, who you need to be following on a weekly basis. Josh Fellhauer is becoming more and more of one of my guys I think could really break out over the next few seasons and turn into a real strong prospect. He was a 7th round draft pick this season out of Cal State Fullerton.

It is just this one clip here to work off of. But what is it that you like from this? I see a few things that I like in here. Short swing, good bat speed. It reminded Ken Griffey Sr of a young Chase Utley. I don’t want to go that far, but I like what I see overall. How about you guys?
Winter Ball quick hits
Yonder Alonso got off to a slow start in Puerto Rico but has hit .300/.363/.500 over his last 5 games with 4 doubles. Juan Francisco has slowed down his walk rate big time, but has hit .351/.381/.600 over his last 10 games. Is it time we start to worry about his ability to hit lefties though?
Reds make a few signings
The Reds made some signings in free agency on the minor league level. They brought back Alexander Smit, Federico Baez and Jon Adkins. All are good guys to get back for the system. The other intriguing guy was RHP Po-Cheng Chi, a guy viewed as a reliever from Taiwan. According to the Taiwan Baseball Blog, the Reds signed Chi for $100,000. From scouring the internet it looks like Chi has a fastball that has topped out at 91 MPH in the past.
