In case you missed yesterday’s post, here are prospects #21-25.

20. Chris Valaika – 2B – 24 years old – MLB

Background: 3rd round – 2006 Draft

The Good: Major League ready, solid defense that can back up all over the infield if he isn’t starting at second base. Could hit for a solid average.

Needs to work on: Getting back his power stroke. With a little more power, he is a legit starting option.

19. Ryan LaMarre – OF – 21 years old – A+

Background: 2nd round – 2010 Draft

The Good: Outstanding athlete with plus speed and a good ability to play center field.

Needs to work on: In game power, as he shows off good raw power but it hasn’t translated fully to the games.

18. Kyle Lotzkar – RHP – 20 years old – A

Background: 1st round – 2007 Draft

The Good: Outstanding stuff, great numbers and potential to be a top end starting pitcher.

Needs to work on: Staying healthy, building innings up and his rough mechanics.

17. Didi Gregorius – SS – 20 years old – A+

Background: NDFA – August 2007

The Good: Very good athlete, above average defensive shortstop with good plate discipline.

Needs to work on: Using his power more as well as his overall hitting ability.

16. Donnie Joseph – LHP – 21 years old – AA

Background: 3rd round – 2009 Draft

The Good: Above average fastball and an above average slider with great numbers.

Needs to work on: Throwing his slider in the zone more often, as more advanced hitters will chase it less.

More to come tomorrow.
