15. Jonathan Correa – RHP – 19 years old – Rk+

Background: NDFA – January 2008

The Good: Above average fastball and an above average slider and good numbers.

Needs to work on: Improving his change up and adding innings onto his young arm to build up full season endurance.

14. Neftali Soto – 1B/C – 21 years old – A+

Background: 3rd round – 2007 draft

The Good: The Reds seem to still be willing to give him a chance to catch. He has above average power and shows it off in games.

Needs to work on: Defense behind the plate if he wants to stick there, as well as his plate discipline at the plate.

13. Ismael Guillon – LHP – 18 years old – Rk

Background: NDFA – October 2008

The Good: Potential to be a top of the rotation starter with above average fastball and a very good change up to go with excellent stats.

Needs to work on: His curveball is below average and he needs to add innings to his arm to get his workload to a full season threshold.

12. Junior Arias – SS – 18 years old – Rk

Background: NDFA – July 2008

The Good: Plus potential in his bat with good tools across the board.

Needs to work on: Plate discipline and in the future, likely a new position as he isn’t project to stick at shortstop long term.

11. Zack Cozart – SS – 24 years old – AAA

Background: 2nd round – 2007 draft

The Good: Above average defense at shortstop, above average speed and good power for the position.

Needs to work on: His hit tool is a little below average despite the power being good.
