4/5 Game Review

Louisville won 5-4. Box Score

  • Chris Valaika went 2-4 with a solo HR (1).
  • Neftali Soto went 1-4 with a run.
  • Danny Dorn went 1-4 with a 2 run HR (1).
  • Paul Janish went 2-4 with 2 solo HR’s (2).
  • Jeff Francis allowed 2 earned in 6 innings with a walk and 3 strikeouts.

Game Notes

Danny Dorn’s home run was an absolute bomb. The Bats caught a break in the 8th inning when replay showed that Columbus hit a 3-run home run that was ruled as a 2 run double. That would have given them the lead 5-4, but instead just tied the game at four. The Bats took the lead in the top of the 9th on the second home run by Paul Janish of the night.
