Louisville won 7-4. Box Score

• Kristopher Negron went 1-3 with a walk, double, RBI and 2 runs.
• Todd Frazier went 2-3 with a walk, double and 3 RBI.
• Danny Dorn went 2-3 with a walk and an RBI.
• Paul Janish went 1-4 with a double and a run.
• Felix Perez went 2-4 with a run.
• Dioner Navarro went 3-4 with 2 runs.
• Jeff Francis allowed 2 runs in 6 innings with a walk and 9 strikeouts.
• Travis Webb threw 0.2 perfect innings with 2 strikeouts.
• JJ Hoover threw a perfect 9th with 2 strikeouts for the save.

Game notes

Jeff Francis has 9 strikeouts in his last 11 innings. I wouldn’t have guessed he would have had that in Single A. Very impressive so far. Travis Webb lowered his ERA to 1.69 on the year. After a slow start, Todd Frazier is hitting .333 over his last 5 games with 5 RBI.

Game notes

The Blue Wahoos scored four runs in the first inning and couldn’t get another one across the rest of the game. The 1-4 hitters went 7-21 with 4 walks. The rest of the team went 3-25 with 3 walks. In the bottom of the 12th the Blue Wahoos had a chance to put a run across after Henry Rodriguez led off with a double and Mike Costanzo followed with a walk, but Rodriguez was picked off of second and the next two hitters struck out.

• Yorman Rodriguez went 1-4 with a run and a steal (2).

• Bryson Smith went 1-4 with an RBI.
• Daniel Renken allowed 2 runs in 7 innings with a walk and 8 strikeouts.
• Jamie Walczak threw a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout.
• Wilkin De La Rosa threw a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout.

Game notes

Billy Hamilton continued his hot start, pushing his line to .385/.489/.667 with 7 walks and 6 strikeouts through 11 games. He also extended his hitting streak to 11 games, including 4 multi-hit games. Juan Duran made his 2012 debut after beginning the season on the DL with a hamstring issue. Two hits out of the #3 spot in the line up is a good way to start your year. Daniel Renken put together a strong start and moved to 2-0 on the season.

Kyle Waldrop remained hot, reaching base four times in the game and raising his season line to .321/.424/.500. He has three two hit games in a row. Junior Arias had an RBI, steal, 2 walks and 2 runs on the game but was unable to record a hit in three at bats.
