Game notes

The Bats were trailing 5-0 in the 7th inning when they put up 4 runs to make a game out of it. They then promptly gave up a 6 spot in the top of the 8th and it was all she wrote.  The loss was the 5th in a row and their 9th loss in their last 10 games.

Pensacola lost 3-1 in a 7 inning rain shortened game. Box Score

Game notes

The game was called early due to rain. Kyle Lotzkar struggled with his control at times, but flashes good stuff with his fastball and breaking ball. Henry Rodriguez extended his hitting streak to 16 games and is now hitting .348 on the season.

Game notes

With the game tied at 2 in the top of the 9th inning Donald Lutz hit his league leading 10th home run of the season to give the Blaze the lead. Brian Pearl racked his 6th save of the year and lowered his ERA to 1.65. Pearl has 2 walks and 18 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched this year.

Game notes

Minor League double headers are scheduled 7 inning games. So the fact that they played 23 innings was a bit more wild than it seems on the surface. Game one saw the 1-4 spots in the line up go 0-21. The bullpen was outstanding, even though they eventually took the loss.
