Game notes

The Bats got some help as they only had 1 earned run against Toledo, but an error led to two unearned runs in the 8th. The Bats are on the All Star break until the 12th.

Pensacola lost 20-3. Box Score

Game notes

Mark Serrano held Mobile scoreless through 4 innings before exiting the game. The Blue Wahoos bullpen then gave up 5, 3, 5, 3 and 4 runs in each of the next 5 innings.

Ryan Wright homered for the 3rd straight game, quadrupling his home run total for the season in the last 3 games. The home run extended his hitting streak to 16 games. Yorman Rodriguez extended his hitting streak to 8 games and is hitting .318/.348/.591 in 66 at bats with the Dragons. Michael Dennhardt lowered his ERA to 2.48 on the year.

Avain Rachal continued his assault on the Arizona League. He is now hitting .409/.471/.614 with 6 walks and 7 strikeouts in 44 at bats. Abel De Los Santos has yet to allow a run in 7 innings (5 games).

Futures Game

• Kyle Lotzkar allowed a hit in a shutout inning.

Game notes

Hamilton drove in 2 on a triple when the center fielder initially broke in on the ball and couldn’t recover. Reds.com has an article up on Hamilton and 3 minutes worth of video from the game (Hamilton was wearing a mic for the game, so there is plenty to check out). Lotzkar threw 93-95 in the game and showed off his outstanding breaking ball.
