MinorLeagueBaseball.com has up it’s Reds Organizational All Stars article up. Here is their list, but be sure to check out the article for some nice quotes on each of the guys:

  • Catcher – Tucker Barnhart
  • First Base – Donald Lutz
  • Second Base – Devin Lohman
  • Shortstop – Billy Hamilton
  • Third Base – Travis Mattair
  • Outfield – Steve Selsky
  • Outfield – Theo Bowe
  • Outfield – Bryson Smith
  • DH/Utility – Jesse Winker
  • RH Starter – Chad Rogers
  • LH Starter – Tony Cingrani
  • Reliever – Carlos Contreras

The Reds had a trio of pitchers throw yesterday in the AFL. Josh Ravin averaged 98 MPH with his fastball. His slowest one was 97.4, while he topped out at 98.9 MPH. Drew Hayes averaged 93.2 MPH, topping out at 94.7 MPH with his slowest one coming in at 91.7 MPH. Curtis Partch only threw 5 fastballs, ranging from 95.7 MPH to 97.7 MPH. Our relievers are bringing the heat out in Arizona.

Keith Law talked about Billy Hamilton on his Baseball Today podcast. He mentioned how fast he is of course and that he showed off a decent arm in the outfield as well. The most notable thing though was that he mentioned that he still seems quite raw out there and will probably need a third to half of a season to acclimate himself with the position.

I don’t know who I would like to profile tomorrow in the season in review. So, tell me who you would like to see profiled and whoever winds up with the most votes gets the nod.
