Some of these moves are official and some may not be official until later today or tomorrow.
David Holmberg has been optioned back to Louisville. He’s struggled in two starts this year, not making it out of the third inning of either game, allowing five and six runs in each start with seven total walks and three strikeouts.
Daniel Corcino has been promoted from Pensacola to pitch out of the bullpen. While his overall numbers this season haven’t been good, he has been on a roll so far in August with a 2.77 ERA in 26.0 innings pitched, just six walks and he has struck out 23 batters. He hasn’t really pitched out of the bullpen this season, the lone exception being the first game of the year where he was technically a reliever, but just followed a rehabbing pitcher and threw 6.0 innings starting in the second.
Joel Bender is heading to Pensacola to make a start over the weekend.

He’s been on a really strong run since the start of June where he’s thrown 38.0 innings with 12 walks and 50 strikeouts, without a home run allowed. The left hander threw 5.0 innings in his last appearance out of the bullpen for Dayton, allowing just one run with two walks and nine strikeouts.
While it was noted in the Prospect Watch earlier, the team has also resigned outfielder Ryan LaMarre.
