Kiley McDaniel released his Top 200 Prospects list earlier this morning at Fangraphs. The Cincinnati Reds were very well represented on the list. His list actually goes 142 players deep before simply listing a final tier of 58 players to round out the top 200. Seven Reds prospects were ranked among the Top 142 and another three players were listed in the final tier of 58.

Inside the Top 100

Right handed pitcher Robert Stephenson led the list for the Reds, ranking 25th overall. Oufielder Jesse Winker followed that up with a ranking of 39. Raisel Iglesias was the next Red to crack the Top 100 and the right handed pitcher came in at #62 on the list. Michael Lorenzen was the fourth and final Red in the Top 100 and the third right handed pitcher the team placed on the list. Lorenzen ranked 88th.

Inside the Top 142

As noted above, the list ranked players 1-142 before tailing off with just grouping everyone from 143-200 together in one tier. Alex Blandino came in as the next Red on the list. The infielder ranked as the 122nd prospect on the list. Right handed pitcher Nick Howard was close by as he came in at #128 on the list. The final Red to get ranked was Nick Travieso. The right hander came in at #141 on the list.

The Final 58 tier (143-200)

McDaniel didn’t rank the guys in this section among each other, but the guys are listed by system in order of their rankings within. Outfielder Yorman Rodriguez, outfielder Aristides Aquino and left handed pitcher Amir Garrett all made this final tier (in that order).

While there will be a second article coming later today looking at how each farm team performed within the list, the Reds had the third highest number of players on the list with 10 (tied), trailing just the Cubs and Braves who each had 11 players make the list. Milwaukees had seven players on the list, but only one inside the Top 100. Pittsburgh and St. Louis both had seven prospects listed as well, with a higher concentration of players ranked better than those from Milwaukee.
