While watching a start earlier this season on MiLB.tv, I had noticed that Robert Stephenson was throwing his change up a little more often than he had thrown last year. He seemed to have more confident in the pitch, throwing it in several different counts throughout the game.

Kourage Kundahl spoke with the right hander a few days ago, looking to get some more information on the change up as he also seemed to notice the difference.

“It was just a little bit [of a] change of grip, and I feel like I’m able to repeat the delivery with it and able to throw it for strikes,” Stephenson said.

There’s more information in the article, including notes on Stephenson working on his mechanics to try and iron some things out with his command and control. Go give the full article a read.
