The Triple-A Louisville Bats made two roster moves this afternoon. Steve Selsky was placed on the disabled list with a meniscus injury in his left knee. Replacing him on the roster will be outfielder Kyle Waldrop, who was promoted from Double-A Pensacola.

In his time over the last two seasons with the Blue Wahoos at the Double-A level, Kyle Waldrop has posted these stats:

PA 2B 3B HR RBI BB K AVG OBP SLG
511 30 6 14 66 29 105 .295 .335 .473

The power and average certainly played well at the level. His strikeout rate was solid, but his walk rate was a bit lower than you’d like to see at 5.7%.

Waldrop has been a second half player for the better part of his career, hitting much better in nearly every second half (the lone exception was the 2014 season). Already on the 40-man roster, the outfielder is one step closer to the Majors.

Steve Selsky suffered his injury on Friday running the bases. He was hitting .317 on the season when he suffered the injury. Here’s a look at his season stats:

PA 2B 3B HR RBI BB K AVG OBP SLG
202 10 2 2 29 19 44 .317 .386 .428
