The Cincinnati Reds reportedly have agreed to a deal with their 1st round pick in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft Jonathan India. Jon Heyman of Fancred sports was the first to report it.
Reds have a deal with Jonathan India, No. 5 pick overall. U of Fla. Star 3B. Slot value $5.9M. Bonus not known.

There’s next to no chance that Jonathan India will be getting the slot value of $5.9M for his signing bonus. As noted last week, assuming that the Reds deal in place with 4th round pick Mike Siani is as reported, a $2M bonus, then that would leave Cincinnati with somewhere between $4,870,400 and $5,290,420 to spend to get him signed.
The team has until the end of the week to get any non-seniors signed. Seniors can sign after the deadline if they choose. With the word coming out that the deal with Jonathan India is in place, I would expect to hear something very similar with Mike Siani as well. All deals will be pending a physical.
