  • Neftali Soto went 2-4 with 2 HR’s (22) and 4 RBI.
  • Eric Campbell went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
  • Jake Kahaulelio went 1-3 with a double, walk and 2 runs.
  • Didi Gregorius went 1-2 with a double, walk, RBI and a run.
  • Travis Webb threw 1.1 scoreless innings of relief with 2 strikeouts.

Game notes: The Mudcats scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning to take the lead. Didi Gregorius drove in the tying run and Quintin Berry drove in the eventual winning run. Berry raised his average to .284 on the year. Neftali Soto has hit .305/.371/.748 in the second half with 19 HR’s in 151 at bats. That is incredible power.

Bakersfield lost 2-0 in 10 innings. Box Score

Game notes: Several hitters went 1-4 on the night, but no one reached base safely twice in the game.  Derrik Lutz allowed 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning. In the bottom of the 10th the Blaze began with two singles, but then had three straight ground outs to end the game.

Drew Hayes came into the 8th inning with the bases loaded but was able to get out of the jam then finish the game in the 9th inning to end the Dragons 5 game losing streak.
