Yeah, this was not a pretty game. The Bats have lost 9 of their last 10.

Pensacola won 5-3. Box Score

• Ryan LaMarre went 1-3 with 2 runs and 2 steals (21).
• Didi Gregorius went 1-3 with a triple, RBI and 2 runs.
• Beau Mills went 1-3 with a walk.
• Bryson Smith went 1-4 with a run.

• Brian Pearl threw 2 shutout inings with a walk and 3 strikeouts.

Game notes

Didi Gregorius has 6 extra base hits in 6 games in July. 5 shutout innings by the bullpen brought home the win for the Blue Wahoos, who are tied for first place with a 10-6 record in the second half.

Game notes

What a wild game. The game was tied at 2 after 9 and tied at 3 after 11. Kurtis Muller recorded the final out for the Blaze, but also gave up a solo HR. There was some controversy after Chad Rogers gave up a disputed home run early in the game that may have prevented all of this from happening. A ball was ruled a home run, but the ground rules state that it should have been ruled as a double. Two players struck out 5 times each for the Blaze and the team a total of 24 times with just 3 walks.

Dayton won 4-3. Box Score

• Yorman Rodriguez went 2-4 with a solo HR (2) and 2 runs.
• Ryan Wright went 2-3 with a walk, double, HR (2), 2 RBI and 2 runs.
• Kyle Waldrop went 1-4 with an RBI.
• Stalin Gerson allowed 2 unearned runs in 5 innings with a strikeout.
• Michael Dennhardt threw 2 perfect innings.

Game notes

Jesse Winker left the game after 2 at bats. Not sure why at this point though. Robert Ramirez with a huge night as he drove in 5 runs and reached base 4 times. Seth Mejias-Brean also reached base 4 times and he scored 3 times. Sal Romano recorded 8 ground outs. Not one in the air. For the season he has 29 ground outs and just 3 fly outs. The Mustangs remain in first place with the win.
