Saturday night wasn’t a planned bullpen day for the Tigres de Aragua as they continued in the round robin of the Venezuelan League playoffs, but after the starter allowed five runs without making it through the first inning it turned into a bullpen day.

Alejandro Chacin did his part as he entered the game in the third inning and fired out two perfect innings. The third inning started with a strikeout and was followed up by two ground outs. The fourth inning was bookended by strikeouts with a ground out in the middle. The right hander hasn’t allowed a run in two playoff appearances thus far.

Felix Perez had another strong night in the playoffs. Batting fifth for Caribes de Anzoategui he went 2-4 with a walk, solo homer (2nd of the playoffs) and two runs scored. Perez is now hitting .308 in the playoffs for Caribes, who has the best record through six games in the round robin playoff.
