Cincinnati Reds infielder Cory Thompson was looking to head to Dayton to play for the Dragons after a solid season in 2014 with the Pioneer League champion Billings Mustangs. Instead it looks like he will be hanging back in Arizona as he rehabs his shoulder after dislocating it while diving for a ball in spring training.
Sucks when everything is going good for you and you get hurt and have to stay back and rehab and can’t play the game you love

With Thompson out for an unknown amount of time it looks like the middle infield in Dayton will be Luis Gonzalez at shortstop and Ty Washington at second base, at least until Thompson is able to join the club.
