Hunter Greene was removed from the game because he did not feel well. It was NOT due to an injury.

Cincinnati Reds top prospect Hunter Greene left his scheduled start on Thursday night after just 2.0 innings for the Dayton Dragons. The right hander was not scheduled to have a short start tonight. The Dragons and Reds at this point have no comments on what or why Greene was removed from the game. I will update this post with more information when it becomes available.

Prior to leaving the game he had thrown 30 pitches on the night with 22 strikes over his 2.0 shutout innings. He did not allow a hit, walked one batter, and he had 4 strikeouts. He also set a new record in Fifth Third Field by hitting 102 MPH in the game – breaking a record tha the had previously held for a 101 MPH fastball along with Aroldis Chapman and Aneurys Zabala.
